چکیده
Mercury is a persistent toxic substance and once in the environment it can be transformed by bacteria into methylmercury which bioaccumulates food chains. Prevention of mercury releases are key to protecting human health. Alternatives products now available further phase-outs underway as Minamata Convention progresses toward its aims. In European Union, priority for safe removal from WEEE collected treated. Despite phase outs, items will continue necessitate depollution many years come. Capture mercury-added product waste their replacement at source protects health, circular economy terms job creation critical raw materials recovery. This paper presents an analysis mercury-containing observed scrap metal sites kerbside collection Ireland, these did not undergo so contained within lost environment. Mercury-added found included desktop PCs, laptops, screens, LCD, LED plasma screens monitors, assorted fluorescent special lamps. It estimated that minimum 17.89 kgs was released 2018 due inappropriate management demolition, renovation, home maintenance activities. New characterisation method of electrical and electronic equipment wastes (WEEE).
Innovative separation and beneficiation techniques of various materials encountered in electrical and electronic equipment wastes (WEEE) is a major improvement for its recycling. Mechanical separation-oriented characterisation of WEEE was conducted in an attempt to evaluate the amenability of mechanical separation processes. Properties such as liberation degree of fractions (plastics, metals fe...

The National Policy on Solid Waste (NPSW) brought a new dimension to waste management in Brazil. According to the requirements of this law, producers, traders, recyclers, importers, distributors, and consumers are each held responsible for waste outcomes. The establishment of reverse logistics systems, also proposed by the law, begins from the management of diffuse interests in support of envir...

15 صفحه اولWaste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) recycling for a sustainable resource supply in the electronics industry in China
High consumption of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE) is accompanied with a high yield of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). Meanwhile, because the different types of resources have their own unique properties, the current content of each type will remain limited in a range of fluctuations. Therefore, WEEE recycling is an obvious choice to meet the resource demands of the...

In order to confirm the possibility that recycled fractions from the waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) stream were illegally entering the European market in black polymeric food-contact articles (FCAs), bromine quantification, brominated flame retardant (BFR) identification combined with WEEE-relevant elemental analysis and polymer impurity analysis were performed. From the 10 se...
